First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the teachers in Yeslab Shanghai who helped me tremendously during my stint over there, Ender(军哥) and Sir. Also, not forgetting my fellow students during that period, most notably 杨松贵. Without all their help, it would definitely have been much more difficult. Luckily, and thankfully, I managed to walked out of Cisco lab victorious. And this is all accomplished with Yeslab Shanghai’s help.

I truly enjoyed my stint in Yeslab Shanghai, it was tiring at times but the discussions with fellow students and the constant learning make it all worthwhile. The environment at Yeslab makes it very conducive for learning and the teachers are friendly, professional and very helpful towards students. You can feel the teachers’passion in teaching and imparting Cisco knowledge to the students. I would like to comment on Ender(军哥)‘s efficiency at work, impressed! The facilities at Yeslab is more than adequate for CCIE lab learning. All these made for a very conducive and great learning environment for students who wished to get acquainted with Cisco technology, be it a fresh grad or a veteran engineer. This experience at Yeslab will always be with me throughout, and I am grateful for being able to witness first hand and being taught by, studied together with the wonderful people in Yeslab.

I flew 2 days early to Beijing so that I can have 1 extra day to rest and relax in order to keep myself calm and relaxed for the lab exam. And also, it is important to plan ahead for the journey to the Cisco office as traffic jams is a norm in Beijing. Also, it is of paramount importance to plan for the Troubleshooting portion of the lab exam, as that is a do or die mission. Often, you will hear stories of people panicking during this portion. Therefore, it is wise to come out with a plan to anticipate and also to give that extra confidence that you will need. Always do the easy questions first! The difficult or somewhat challenging questions should always be tackled last. In doing so, you will gain confidence as you solved the easy questions and secure the points from them. By the time you reached the last few challenging questions, you should already be quietly confident and thus more able to focus and think calmly to solve the challenging questions. If at first, you are unable to solve question, immediately move to the next one. That is another common mistake that a lot of people made and they ended up spending too much time on one question and jeopardizing the troubleshooting portion. This is my advice to my fellow students and I wish you all the best in getting the 5 CCIE digits!
